Tim Williams, known as the "Trivago guy" for his appearance in USA ads for the Germany-based hotel-booking site, faces a drunk driving charge after Houston police found him asleep in his auto in traffic this week.
Houston police said Williams was found behind the wheel of a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in a live lane of traffic with his foot on the brake, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Silva said Williams failed a sobriety test.
"Whether you wear a belt or not, trivago.com can help you find your ideal hotel at a great price". His court appearance is set for April 17 of this year.
It's unclear if Williams will remain the face of the travel site.

A Trivago statement Friday says the company didn't have full details on the situation but treats such incidents very seriously and strongly condemns drinking and driving as a risk to others and against the Trivago culture.
CNN has has also reached out to Tim Williams and is waiting on a response.
In September 2018, Williams released his new album Magnolia City.
He has most recently appeared in the German TV series The Diplomat and the German film Balloon.
