Omar thanks Fox News for condemning host's comments

Fox News rebukes host Jeanine Pirro for Ilhan Omar hijab comments

Fox News condemns Jeanine Pirro's comments questioning Ilhan Omar's hijab

Omar has been under fire for s series of anti-Semitic remarks that have upset Jewish Democrats in Congress that led to the House passing an anti-hate resolution which was originally meant to be a rebuke of her remarks but was watered-down after an outcry from far-left Democrats. A top five-cable network, FNC has been the most watched news channel in the country for 17 consecutive years.

Omar has faced her own share of criticism, being accused of anti-Semitic tropes. Omar (D-Minn.) in 2018 became one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, along with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

We reached out to ask what that conversation entailed and if there were any consequences beyond a stern talking-to, or if there were consequences planned in the likely event that Pirro makes similarly bigoted statements in the future, but received no answers to those questions.

She said: 'Think about this.

"At the same time", she continued, "I reaffirm the problematic role of lobbyists in our politics". Her segment about Omar remains on her Twitter account. In January, she acknowledged this was "unknowingly" offensive.

"I didn't see anything wrong with Pirro's remarks".

The German foreign minister appreciated Pakistan's efforts for restoration of peace in Afghanistan, the statement added. His visit came amid Indian aggression against Pakistan following the Pulwama attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IOK).

It was against this backdrop that Pirro, 67, during the opening of her Saturday show, attacked Omar as an "unrepentant" and hateful anti-Semite.

"She's not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat Party". "They want to have her on the air spewing this venom all the time, but they also want to keep just enough distance so advertisers don't get uncomfortable". Think about it. Omar wears a hijab, which according to the Quran, 33:59, tells women to cover so they won't molested.

But according to Muslim Advocates' 2018 report "Running on Hate", language suggesting that American Muslims are orchestrating a conspiracy to take over the USA government and replace the Constitution with Shariah law is a common anti-Muslim trope used by politicians, pundits and online trolls. "You have Muslims working at the same network you do, including myself".

A Fox News host close to Donald Trump has sparked bemusement and anger after suggesting Ilhan Omar's decision to wear a hijab could mean she is opposed to the U.S. constitution. "They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly".

Fox issued a statement saying it "strongly condemned" Pirro's remarks on her Saturday night show.

Jeanine Pirro appears on her FOX News show on March.
