NEW YORK - Today, FOX Sports announces plans for its new college football pregame show, featuring some of the biggest names to have played or coached the sport in the last 15 years.

Fox Sports President Mark Silverman said talks with Meyer began toward the end of past year and that there was a mutual interest in having him in the studio. With Gus Johnson as the lead play-by-play announcer and a bevy of solid color commentators, Fox Sports is quickly becoming one of the top places to watch college sports.

The show, which will feature former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, will include a number of notable 21st century college football stars. This is not Meyer's first foray into television as he worked for ESPN as a color commentator during the 2011 season after he retired from the University of Florida in 2010.
