The Sinking City Delayed To Late June

The Sinking City delayed until June 27

The Sinking City release date has been moved to June

"In order to release the game in a less crowded period and offer players the best possible game experience, the game's release date has been pushed back a few weeks", the press release explains, which community manager Sergey Oganesyan expands upon in the video below.

Bigben Interactive has announced that its upcoming Lovecraftian-inspired game "The Sinking City" has been delayed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

According to Frogwares, the release date has been moved into June to avoid the glut of releases in February and March. They say it's to escape the crush of games that have come out recently and continue to come, and that it'll be nice to have a little extra time to polish it anyway.

Developer Frogwares explained today that The Sinking City's release has been pushed back three months due to its now crowded launch window.

Ethiopian Airlines plane with 157 people on board crashes minutes after take-off
The flight took off at 08.38am local time from Addis Ababa before it "lost contact" just six minutes later at 08.44am. Aviation sources say it nearly certain that Ethiopian Airlines pilots would have been updated on the sensor issue.

"We decided we wanted to release our game in a less crowded timeframe", he explains. "We hope that this new date will suit you all well".

Within The Sinking City, players take on the role of a private investigator in Charles W. Reed. "The additional time will also be spent on minor improvements and polishing the game".

Set to release on June 27, 2019, the reasoning behind delay is simple and refreshingly honest - Frogwares simply didn't want to release their most ambitious title to date in an already jam-packed month.
