Chelsea suffered their worst-ever Premier League defeat at City on Sunday and Sarri is now the bookmakers' favourite to become the next Premier League manager to be sacked, with Lampard and Zinedine Zidane the favourites to replace him.

Chelsea have a temporary reprieve from the Premier League in that period, due to the quirk of the League Cup final against City falling on a weekend of league fixtures.

Chelsea's defeat against Manchester City was their heaviest in any competition since a 7-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in 1991, but Lampard believes his former team will bounce back.

Sarri's lack of a pre-season is cited as one of the reasons behind the ongoing support from Marina Granovskaia, who played a key part in bringing the 60-year-old to Chelsea in the summer.

"You never say that about Chelsea no matter what has gone on, but they have been weak".

Lucas Glover and Scott Piercy are T-3 at 11 under while Brian Gay and Matt Every are T-5 at 10 under. "I stand firm on what I said", Casey said.

Under Lampard's guidance, Derby are strong contenders for promotion this season, with only goal difference separating them from the play-off places at present.

"I hope to see Chelsea put some form together and turn their results around".

"Chelsea are certainly a club I respect and have a manager I respect. But let's not forget they were up against a great Manchester City team - and I also had some good times there as a player".

Derby sit seventh in the table ahead of Wednesday's trip to bottom club Ipswich, while the Rams face Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday.
