A winter storm expected to hit Greater Boston on Tuesday afternoon is expected to drop a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain on the region.

The heaviest snow is expected to come Tuesday morning and afternoon, potentially making travel hard across much of northern Wisconsin, the Weather Service said. The most snow will likely fall towards the Iowa border in cities like Maryville and Rock Port.

A winter storm watch was in effect from Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon. "Tuesday PM commute could be impacted [with] slick roads, hazardous travel, and low visibility".
