Ariana has since replied to people's comments (although those also seem to have been deleted) clarifying that the shade was not intended at Cardi B but just at the situation that Mac didn't win.

Her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller tragically died past year from an accidental overdose.

Ariana Grande appeared to react with anger and disappointment when Cardi B's "Invasion of Privacy" won best rap album at the Grammys on Sunday. "Rest in peace!" she said in a video posted to Instagram.

Miller had been nominated, and Grande had clearly been holding out for a posthumous honour. Grande and Miller dated for two years before they announced their split in May.

"Y'all invited Mac's parents out and you didn't give him an award are y'all DUMB?" one tweet reads, with the Recording Academy's official Twitter page tagged.

Those appearances caught the judge's attention last week when she encouraged Stone not to treat his case like a "book tour". Jackson so far hasn't had much face time in court with Stone or his legal team to reveal her approach to the case.

It was likely very poor timing on the "7 Rings" singers side of things when Ariana Grande tweeted out "trash" just has Cardi B won.

It's not like Cardi B even needed the award given how she'd already shut down the red carpet in a vintage couture gown, followed by a show-stopping performance of her new single "Money".

"And you wanna know something?" "Thank you @iamcardib for having me on stage with you at the Grammys and for graciously allowing me to add my style of music to yours!"

Making it clear that she had no beef with Grammys victor Cardi, Ariana is claimed to have also tweeted and deleted: 'nothing to do w [Cardi]. good for her. i promise. i'm sorry'.
