The 76-year-old has now come under fire due to a 2016 episode of the talk show where she admitted to once dressing as a "Beautiful African Woman" for Halloween.

"I was so cute", Behar said in the 2016 clip. She said that the hair was her own and that she had dressed as a "beautiful African woman". The resurfaced clip was shared by The Wrap media editor Jon Levine which sparked endless comments and conversations on Twitter.

She added, "I was 29".

Behar's former co-host Raven-Symoné had a lot of questions about the photo.

"It was a Halloween party, I went as a attractive African woman", Behar, an original host of The View since its debut 20 years ago, explained.

"Joy ... are you my auntie, Joy?" "I'm more flabbergasted by her willingness to pull this photo out and proudly show the world as if it's totally cool in the year 2016", Jezebel's Kara Brown wrote after the 2016 segment.

Another Virginia Democrat, Attorney General Mark Herring, who led the charge in calling for Northam's resignation, was also forced to acknowledge that he, too, had worn blackface when he dressed as a rapper during a party at the University of Virginia in 1980 when he was 19. "Hell, girls can't even wear braids in their hair anymore without getting yelled at for that, but she ACTUALLY dresses as a "beautiful African woman" and nothing?"

Fox News host Laura Ingraham said that accusing Behar of racism would only feed into today's growing PC culture. The former child star went on to ask Behar if she had on tanning lotion that day, to which she replied that she was indeed wearing darker makeup.

ABC News' "The View" co-host Joy Behar remained stone silent Thursday regarding old footage of her donned in blackface that was unearthed this week as similar images have caused outrage and derailed careers.

"Joy. Joy. Joy", she continued.

Some people have pounced on Behar since the photo resurfaced.

During the morning show on Thursday, Behar and the other co-hosts did not address the issue.
