Barcelona on lookout for striker after Munir sale - Valverde

Official: Sevilla and Barcelona reach agreement for Munir

Munir Joins Sevilla From Barcelona For $1.2M

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said the club were looking to sign a centre forward in the January transfer window after selling Munir El Haddadi to Sevilla.

The 23-year-old's Barca contract was due to expire at the end of the season, allowing their La Liga rivals Sevilla to sign him on a cut-price deal. "If that can be this month, even better".

Munir made his debut for Barcelona aged just 18 when the Catalans took on Elche under Luis Enrique in the 2014/2015 season.

The Catalan giants have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Sevilla for the sale of Munir El Haddadi.

The forward featured 16 times in the league in his career for Barcelona, scoring four times, before heading out to Valencia where he played in 33 La Liga contests, scoring six times.

However, he joins Sevilla immediately in a cut price deal.

He is fluent in playing across the front line, although he has been deployed primarily through the center by Barcelona this season.

A Spain youth worldwide, Munir has been capped once for the senior side, coming on for a 13-minute appearance against Macedonia in 2014. He says the club will look at several options.
