A MI woman who claimed she had a six-year relationship with R. Kelly since she was 16 years old, spoke to WGN News to share her story.
Gerald Griggs, lawyer of survivor Joycelyn Savage, told media he was contacted by the Fulton County District Attorney asking for a list of witnesses who could speak to events that occurred at Kelly's house in an Atlanta, Georgia suburb in 2017. Despite years of petitions and calls for Kelly's longtime label home, RCA Records, to part ways with the singer, he remained on the company's roster at press time. During a January 9th interview with Power 106, the rapper was asked about the furor around Lifetime documentary about Kelly and said that people need to stop talking about him so he goes away.
Her father says they haven't heard from her in about two years.
She urged anyone who may be a victim to come forward and call the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Division at 773-674-6492.
