Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was sending racy sexts to his glamorous neighbor months before announcing the end of his marriage this week, according to a new report. She reportedly met Bezos through Whitesell.
Sanchez is separated from her husband, Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell, who is reported to be a friend of Bezos.
On Jan. 9, the National Enquirer reported that Bezos, 54, had been having an eight-month affair with Sanchez, 49.
Jeff and MacKenzie have four children.
On Wednesday, Bezos tweeted that the couple would be divorcing. "As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have chose to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends", read the statement signed by both of them".
"Time to play hardball": Progressives push Senate Dems to stonewall Trump
A pro-Israel advocate says it's unfortunate that a bill aimed at stopping boycotts against Israel is stalled in the Senate. I have three words for you: Boston Tea Party.
"We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other", the statement continued.
She's not just a newswoman and actress - Sanchez is also a helicopter pilot. National Enquirer claimed to have obtained text messages sent by the billionaire to Sanchez. A source told Us Weekly, "He had no idea how serious the affair was or how long it was going on for".
Post the announcement, several strong reports claiming that Bezos is secretly dating former Good Day LA co-host Lauren Sanchezwere doing rounds on the internet. Her wedding to Whitesell in 2005 was a star-studded ceremony, with Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Hugh Jackman and Jessica Alba in attendance. Jeff Bezos, 54, is at the top of most list, and his fortune now hovers around $137 billion. It could also make Microsoft Corp co-founder Bill Gates, now worth $92.5 billion, the planet's richest person once again. This means that MacKenzie, a novelist, could snag a huge payday in the divorce.
Yet, in lieu of this revelation that Bezos is, uh, seemingly less skilled at the art of seduction than he is at building multi-billion dollar empires, it still stands that he is literally the richest man in the world-and that fact has not been lost on people.
Likewise, if MacKenzie gets half of the massive Bezos stake, she will be bound by regulatory disclosure rules preventing big shareholders from making any major moves without public notice, Martin says.
