2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA debuts at CES

In fact, the compact coupé-inspired four-door has also broken the shackles of the A-Class design idiom, no longer sharing its frontal design with the hatch that it's ultimately based on.

As with the A-class, the CLA also receives driver assistance systems originally seen on the most recent S-class, allowing the auto to drive semi-autonomously for the first time. The German company will be hoping for similar success with the latest generation! This means a decoupled multi-link axle at the rear and the Direct-Steer system as standard.

Mercedes-Benz has also equipped the new CLA with various safety technology and driver assist systems from the S-Class as part of an optional package including active distance assist, active emergency stop assist, and lane change assist. It is essentially a stunted CLS Class with features of the A Class thrown in and reduced interior space. Also, the narrower tail lamps give it a wider stance from the rear and an added sense of elegance. Mercedes-Benz claims that the CLA continues to have the same drag coefficient of 0.23 as before. The new form also results in improved aerodynamics for the auto.

Fans of the Mercedes-Benz GLS has been waiting for Mercedes to upgrade their GLS model and here is what we know what about the upcoming 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS model. The showcased version is CLA 250 and is powered with turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine which is rated at 222hp and 350Nm of torque. There will be more engine options, both petrol and diesel, with dual-clutch transmissions and 4MATIC all-wheel drive available at the time of launch.

Australian Open : History beckons as Serena shoots for Slam history
Serena Williams , the 16th seed, will take on Tatjana Maria in her first match of the year's first Grand Slam tournament. Both have six titles, and are seeking to break a three-way tie for the most victories with Australia's Roy Emerson.

The biggest change is inside though. It is dominated by the MBUX system which comprises of two large floating screens (one being the instrument cluster and the other a touchscreen for infotainment) under one glass. The 2019 version of the CLA carried a starting price tag of $35,700, not including those onerous transport and prep fees (set at $1,995 by Mercedes-Benz Canada). The voice recognition technology is improved and now recognises more complex commands.

"The aim is for passengers to feel well and relaxed even during demanding or monotonous journeys", Mercedes-Benz says of the system.
Flip a "v" at the centre console and MBUX will also access a personal favourites menu.

It also has the Energizing Package Plus that debuted on the new Mercedes GLE. "Our popular vívoactive 3 Global Positioning System smartwatch can deliver some of the driver's key health metrics, including wrist-based heart rate, to the Mercedes-Benz User Experience".
