Pavard enjoyed an impressive World Cup in Russian Federation, scoring a spectacular goal in his country's win over Argentina in the round of 16.

Wednesday's official announcement by Bayern Munich means Benjamin Pavard will complete the ongoing season with Stuttgart and will leave when this term comes to an end.

Salihamidzic announced the deal at Bayern's training camp in Doha, with Pavard's contract to start in the summer.

Bayern Munich have confirmed that France's World Cup-winning defender Benjamin Pavard will join them in July 2019.

Pavard joined Stuttgart from Lille in 2016, helping the side to win promotion back to the Bundesliga. "We're glad and proud to have gained such a player for FC Bayern", said Salihamidzic, as per The Bundesliga.
