Veteran actor Paresh Rawal was initially roped in to play the role of Modi, but the actor backed out due to unknown reasons. Noted film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared the posters on his social media handle writing, "Vivek Anand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi".
Fadnavis said it is great that a film on this scale is being made on Modi "under whose leadership India is not only touching new heights but the hopes and expectations of every citizen of India are being fulfilled". Fadnavis also tweeted about the film.
And who is playing Modi? Indian Prime Minister Modi also expressed his best wishes to the Russian people on the occasion of Russian Orthodox Christmas. The biopic will be directed by Mary Kom director Omung Kumar.
"Narendra Bhai is one of the tallest leaders in the world and to bring his personal qualities on screen is an incredible challenge and I want all your blessings that we can complete this incredible journey", he added.

The company says the new chips are good enough for productivity-focused tasks such as media editing and web surfing. The 11.6-inch display also includes a 360-degree hinge, and there's also the option to include a stylus.
Omung Kumar, the director said, "This is one of the most hard and challenging role that I will be playing in my career, because to direct a film-the biopic of a man who is one of the prolific leaders in the history of India-is the most challenging thing a director could do". "We are very excited but nervous too".
We must say that Vivek Oberoi, who would be using his full name for the first time, looks nearly unrecognisable in the poster. However, production on the biopic will begin in the end of January, and the release will be over the next few months, said producer Sandip Ssingh, whose credits include Rowdy Rathore, Aligarh and Omung Kumar's Sarabjit and Bhoomi.
The film shooting is expected to kickstart soon in January.
