Former Hearthstone director Ben Brode has revealed what he and a handful of other former Hearthstone developers are getting up to at Second Dinner, the studio they founded previous year after departing Blizzard.
For more on Hearthstone, check out our review of the game, which we called "Amazing" saying, "The elegant simplicity of Hearthstone's rules, its impressive attention to detail and personality, and the true viability of playing completely for free make it easy to fall under its spell and get blissfully lost in the depths of its strategic possibilities".
Ex-Hearthstone game designer Ben Brode left Blizzard in April 2018, taking a number of staff from the Hearthstone development team with him as he departed.
Second Dinner raised $30 million via a minority investment from a company called NetEase and is now looking to expand its team to build the aforementioned game.
Rishabh Pant sets record in Australia
India broke quite a few records on their way to a mammoth total on Day 2 of the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Pant finished at an unbeaten score of 159 as India declared their first-innings on 622/7 against Australia at the SCG.
Brode said in the newly released video that the studio has been working on the Marvel title for about six months at this point in time. "They and the team they've assembled at Second Dinner have made some of the greatest games in history", he said. It's going to be incredible!
As well as the office move, Second Dinner are looking to build their team up to 10-15 people with the help of a $30m minority investment from Netease. Or Mighty! Or quite possibly all of the above!'
A new announcement for his own company, Second Dinner, soon followed.
"Today, we're excited to announce that we've entered into a new partnership with NetEase to help us explore new directions", reads a Bungie statement on the announcement.
