Britain's Queen Elizabeth II departs after the royal family's traditional Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, England, on December 25, 2018.

The annual message was broadcast to numerous 53 Commonwealth countries after the queen and senior royals attended a church service on the outskirts of one of her country estates.

Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are expecting their first child in spring.

The Queen's annual Christmas message, beamed to millions across the United Kingdom and beyond, has raised ire not because of her words, but because of the furniture.

According to excerpts released by Buckingham Palace, the 92-year-old monarch will also speak of family and friendship following a year in which her grandson Harry married Meghan at a dazzling ceremony.

Per Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English, "She is still under the weather with the heavy cold that saw her cancel an engagement before Christmas and miss the BP lunch".

Britain's Queen Elizabeth said in her Christmas message that the festival's message of peace and goodwill needs to be heeded as much as ever, and people should respect each other even when they harbour the most deeply held differences.
