People aren’t happy about the star featuring at the expense of You Tubers

It's been quite a year for YouTube but you wouldn't think that with YouTube Rewind 2018 which pretty much glazes over some of the platform's biggest moments this year.

The number one video on YouTube's Rewind list for 2018 is a video from Kylie Jenner which recounts special moments about her pregnancy with daughter Stormi Webster.

Speaking of which fellow Singaporean singer JJ Lin commanded a hefty amount of views when he performed on Chinese reality TV show Sound of My Dream, the video of which became the second-most trending video here this year.

The No. 1 music video with 1.45 billion views year-to-date is the Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny and Ozuna remix of "Te Bote", the 2017 breakup song from Casper Magico, Nio Garcia and Darell.

Viewers have also missed the popular star like PewDiePie who has the highest subscriber base across the world. But were they in YouTube rewind?

Will Smith stars in this year's YouTube Rewind and people aren't happy about it - especially since influential stars like Daniel Howell, Phil Lester and Shane Dawson have been missed out. Paul was not included in YouTube's end-of-the-year video, either.

The video was released on YoutTube yesterday and it has already received 45 Million views, but it has gained three times more dislikes as compared to likes on the video.

Google Singapore's head of communications, Ms Angeline Leow, said YouTube is a platform for Singaporeans to be entertained and to express themselves.
