Nintendo Switch gets exclusive Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order Coming To Nintendo Switch In 2019

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is real, coming in 2019, and a Switch exclusive

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order brings together Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Marvel Universe to battle for the limitless power of the Infinity Gauntlet, one Stone at a time.

The new game features the same kind of action-RPG gameplay that made the franchise such a hit over a decade ago.

The developer is Japanese studio Team Ninja, best known for the Dead Or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series.

There will be a vast character roster of beloved Marvel superheroes, including the Avengers, the X-Men and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Get closer to the action by shifting the view to an over-the-shoulder "Heroic Camera" perspective-a series first that offers a more immersive way to play single-player or multiplayer on up to four systems. With another pair of Joy-Con™ controllers (sold separately), four players can team up on one system!

The Game Awards have given Marvel fans a pretty big surprise tonight: the announcement of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch in 2019.

The emphasis on co-op play is obviously a good fit for the Switch, but even so it's an unexpected and interesting move for Nintendo to snap it up as an exclusive.
