Valve has finally chose to join the Battle Royale hype train, as it has made a decision to take the plunge following the likes of Fortnite, PUBG, H1Z1 and more recently Call of Duty Black Ops 4 to introduce the last man standing and victor takes all game mode.
Aside from getting in gunfights across the game's slate of classic maps, players can now also drop into the Danger Zone map, Blacksite, solo or as a part of a duo or trio. It's hard to compete with new, free titles with a game that debuted in 2012 and still cost $15.
Interest in the game has spiked elsewhere, too. A peak of over 450,000 players was reached within the last 24 hours partly thanks to the newest update.
I like that this doesn't seem to be battle royale with a basic Counter-Strike skin.
CS:GO's guns have the same behavior and damage in Danger Zone as in other CS:GO game modes as well.
Aston Martin Works Create First Reversible EV Powertrain Concept
Aston Martin says the cassette is a "self-contained cell" that sits on the original engine and transmission mounts. First to be equipped with the new "cassette" electric powertrain is a 1970 DB6 MkII Volante , the company said.
Players who already own the game will be given "Prime Status" that comes with special perks such as souvenir items, item drops, and weapons cases.
I previously purchased CS:GO but did not opt into Prime Status. Time will tell how it ultimately pans out, though, and you can find more info in the FAQ.
GO's Danger Zone isn't a huge battle royale experience like Fortnite or PUBG - it's much more reserved. Cash can be found in the world, and also gained by completing tasks such as hostage rescue.
Another significant difference is that you have a tablet you can use to track enemy movements and their deliveries. As other famous streamers test this new mode, we'll perhaps see similar peaks in the next couple of days, especially if shroud streams it again.
Valve have also released an extensive FAQ on Danger Zone to answer all of the burning questions that players might have. Rather than supporting 100 players, Danger Zone's cap is limited to either 16 players when jumping in solo or 18 when playing as a two- or three-person squad.
