As reports broke Thursday night that former Fox News personality Heather Nauert could be in line to assume the role of United Nations ambassador and be named by Trump as early as Friday, not everyone was pleased.
Nuart was brought on to the administration after providing commentary on "Fox and Friends" on what appears to be Trump's favorite cable news network.
Haley rattled the United Nations when she arrived in January 2017 vowing that the United States will be "taking names" of countries that oppose Trump's foreign policy, particularly regarding Israel. She will have to be confirmed by the Senate to become ambassador to the United Nations.
"She's excellent. She's been with us a long time", Trump said of Nauert last month. Trump had already confirmed that Nauert was a "very serious consideration" in early November.
Requests for comment to the state department and the White House were not immediately returned.

But after returning from a break, Hazlewood enticed Rahane into a drive and he edged to Handscomb in the slips for 13. Spin king Lyon had 2-51 and Hazlewood 2-28 with Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins claiming one wicket apiece.
She had served as the State Department spokesman and was promoted in March to acting under secretary of state for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs. She oversaw public diplomacy in Washington and all of the roughly 275 overseas USA embassies, consulates and other posts.
One of the reports came from Fox News, where Ms Nauert has previously worked as a presenter. She hadn't specialized in foreign policy or global relations.
Nauert, who earlier this year had been considered a possible successor to White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders, gained experience on diplomacy by working at the State Department, but she lacks the political and policy credentials of Haley, a former SC governor.
Shut out from the top by Tillerson and his inner circle, Nauert developed relationships with career diplomats.
Haley announced in October that she would be resigning as the ambassador to the United Nations.
