Still, James has heard some comments over the past week from Lakers legends Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson - and some comments from Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant - on how he should play his game. So, we got guys who just want to continue to develop and guys that continue to get better and better just from experience.

"So much hype comes from being around LeBron from other people", Durant said. "Like, young players that are still developing, it's always going to be hard because he demands the ball so much, he demands control of the offense and he creates for everybody". Kevin Durant called the media circus surrounding LeBron James "toxic". Which, I think, he deserves way more credit for switching his game. They work out together, top players in the game, they have a good kinship. If that's what 33 gets you, Look out for what happens when he's 34. "Source No. 3 added the nugget that Paul was working on trades to put talent around James because of fears that younger free agents 'don't want to play with LeBron anymore'".

Nevertheless, it was James who spearheaded the Lakers' fourth-quarter comeback and that is something he remains willing to strive for.

We did not expect this turn of events, but we enthusiastically accept the new reality where we all relate to Nick Fury . There's no official word on that yet, but we'll be willing it to be true with every fibre of our beings.

Considering James and the Lakers, back in action when they visit the Spurs on Friday night (8:30 p.m. ET - watch on fuboTV with the NBA League Pass extension), are focused on improving their current team, I doubt LeBron will ever fully acknowledge Durant's criticism of him. It has led to a lot of questions about how long he will want to carry a Lakers team with younger players in key positions - as well as one with some inconsistent older players. It was just, 'When you have a player like LeBron you got to make it about LeBron, ' or something like that. A brief scroll through his feed shows you what he's wearing on the day's show, what shoes he wore to the studio, and usually what kind of hot cereal he had for breakfast. "They don't need another guy". "I can do whatever", James said. "It's a level of jealousy, it's a level of hating, I'm really surprised he went there because they seem to have a really good relationship".

"I think the business side of it is obviously really fascinating to me", he said.
