Killing Eve leading lady Sandra Oh and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg will co-host the 2019 Golden Globe Awards, organisers say.
The 76th Golden Globes will air Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 on NBC.
"We're excited to welcome Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg as co-hosts of Hollywood's Party of the Year", Hollywood Foreign Press Association President, Meher Tatna, said in press release Wednesday. "It's sure to be another unforgettable fun-filled night", co-chairmen of NBC Entertainment Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks said in a statement. The news comes a day after Kevin Hart was tapped to host the 91st Oscars, in a time when awards show ratings are down across the board. The Golden Globes serve as the official kickoff to the 2019 awards season. Last year, freshmen series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Handmaid's Tale and Big Little Lies took home the honors of Best Comedy Series, Best Drama Series and Best Miniseries, respectively. Samberg won two Globes in 2014 for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" as a producer for best television series - musical or comedy, and best actor in a television series - musical or comedy.

The HFPA changed the title of the honorary position a year ago from Miss Golden Globe to Golden Globe Ambassador, seeking to make the position more gender-neutral. The Globes are hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which presents awards for film and TV.
Both stars have won Golden Globes, but neither have ever hosted the award show before. Previously, Oh starred as Dr. Cristina Yang on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy", for which she also received five Emmy nominations.
