For the Niners, four of those seven completions were for touchdowns. He has four catches for 114 yards after this 75-yard catch-and-run early in the fourth quarter. Sherman has responded well post-Achilles injury this season despite having a tough outing covering Mike Evans and the rest of the Buccaneers wide receiving corps last week.

As he does before each game during the National Football League season, KIRO Nights' own Seahawks insider, Gee Scott, breaks down the three things he is hearing from Seahawks players ahead of Sunday's Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Sherman said at a press conference Thursday that he's looking forward to seeing some of his old teammates, but also shared that he does not stay in communication with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Obviously, Nick (Mullens) threw for 400 (yards) today. You lose your starting safety, you lose your backup safety, you lose person after person, you lose two of your Will linebackers and then [Malcolm Smith is] kind of beat up.

Baldwin said it was terrible how Sherman's tenure ended in Seattle and said it will be hard for his friend to separate those bad feelings from the good times he had with the team.

"I don't really have a relationship with Russell", Sherman said. It's nowhere near where coaches and players expected to be at this point in the season.

The Seahawks have won 10 out of the past 11 meetings against the 49ers, including the last nine in a row.

It was Stevenson's 10th title defence since winning the belt against Chad Dawson in 2013, as well as his first loss since 2010 and was his first defeat ever in Canada.

Seattle's win lifted them to 6-5 while San Francisco's defeat dropped them down to 2-9.

Poetically, the receivers pulled this celebration off in the same spot where Sherman and Smith connected nearly five years earlier. He has thrown 84 touchdown passes going back to the start of the 2016 season, which is more than any quarterback other than New Orleans' Drew Brees and the Chargers' Phillip Rivers, both of whom have thrown more passes than Wilson in that time.

The Seahawks did find a way to get the ball, managing to get three takeaways.

Sherman joined the Seahawks in 2011 as a fifth-round pick out of Stanford and nearly immediately established himself as one of the game's premier shutdown cornerbacks.
