Kid rocked: Controversial musician out as Nashville Christmas Parade grand marshal

'Fox And Friends' Is Very Sorry Kid Rock Called Joy Behar A 'B*tch' On Live TV

Joy Behar Invites Kid Rock on ‘The View’ After Fox News Remarks

The mayor's remarks came several hours after Kid Rock appeared on "Fox and Friends" live from his new honky tonk in downtown Nashville.

If you recall, Behar criticized his visit to the White House previous year with Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent, to which she called it "the saddest day in in the history of the White House since the British burned it to the ground in 1814".

City councilman Freddie O'Connell tweeted he would sit out of the festivities, arguing that Kid Rock "evokes neither the spirit of Christmas nor the inclusivity I think represents the best of Nashville", while Nashville Mayor David Briley also noted he'd be following suit.

"We apologize for that", Doocy said to the camera. In a statement later Friday, Rock said he would not apologize for his "sentiment".

Although the panel did praise Doocy's handling of the situation (the Fox host quickly backtracked and apologized for his guest, as did Ainsley Earhardt back in the Fox and Friends studio), they all agreed that Kick Rock was unequivocally in the wrong.

"We put this parade on for the children, and all of a sudden, the adults went insane over a statement that was retracted", Steve Smith said.

Kid Rock was replaced by Waffle House hero James Shaw Jr.

The Mayor's Office issued a statement Friday, reported the Associated Press, saying "if Kid Rock is still the grand marshal tomorrow, the Mayor is inclined not to participate".

For her part, Behar invited Kid Rock to come on "The View" and discuss his opinion.

She went on: 'What is it about me that he feels the need to say that though? People do it to me all the time. He's a big Republican. "Fox had to apologize for something".

'This is very off tone for where he's been. "I will say that what surprises me about Bob, that's his real name, doing this", she said, using Kid Rock's real name, Bob Ritchie, who apparently recently did hold a bipartisan event with Sean Penn about bringing the country together.

Kid Rock's profane comments on live TV have gotten him booted from leading the Nashville Christmas Parade.

"Kid Rock wrote." But in the end, it is not about me.

"You know what's great", she continued.
