And he will pressure President Donald Trump's administration to turn over records about the use of private email for public business by Ivanka Trump, Kushner and other senior officials. A spokesman for Ivanka Trump's lawyer didn't dispute the Post report. Veteran Democratic strategist Paul Begala expressed shock that she would be so careless.
"There was no deleting like Hillary Clinton did", Trump said.
Use of a personal account for government business could potentially violate a law requiring preservation of all presidential records. Trump used her personal email account after Clinton's actions had been analyzed and debated in detail for months on end.
That investigation began under then-Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), but ended when he retired.
Still, current and former White House officials have said it was characteristic of a repeated blurring of the lines between her government work and other aspects of her life, which used to include her namesake licensing and apparel businesses. Of those, only one - a spokesman for Rep. Susan Brooks, R-Ind. - replied: "No comment".
Peter Mirijanian, a spokesperson for Trump's lawyer Abbe Lowell, said that the private email was used during the administration's post-election transition.
"We take this very seriously", said Johnson, who has been a sharp critic of Hillary Clinton's email use and used his committee to investigate the Clinton matter during this Congress. The use of official email accounts may also reduce the risk of sensitive communications being intercepted by foreign intelligence agencies.
Wizards reportedly willing to trade John Wall, Bradley Beal
The Wizards are just two games ahead of last-place Atlanta in the Southeast Division. Wall walked away with a rare fine from the team, sources said.
"Ms. Trump did not create a private server in her house or office, no classified information was ever included, the account was never transferred at Trump Organization, and no emails were ever deleted", he told WaPo. "Lock her up!" referring to Clinton's email practices. At one point, an archive of thousands of Clinton's emails was deleted by a computer specialist amid a congressional investigation.
Austin Evers, American Oversight's executive director, said it is hard to accept Ivanka Trump's contention that she did not know the government rules about not using private email when conducting government business.
But numerous committee's questions have so far gone unanswered by the White House. The news was reported by the Washington Post on November 19 and the Twittersphere is chanting "lock her up" towards Ivanka, a call that is still used by Hillary's enemies over her 2016 private e-mail server scandal.
Sources told the newspaper that she claimed she was "not familiar with the rules". Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said on CNN. "There should be some kind of investigative effort". She also reportedly sent her official schedule to her own personal email and to her personal assistants fewer than 1,000 times.
The discovery of the extent of Ivanka Trump's email use was prompted by public records requests from the liberal watchdog group American Oversight. The White House has since not shared the findings of that review with Congress.
"It's hypocritical, and, certainly, it looks bad". Sad but true. This is such a scandal plagued White House but Trump's voting base seems completely unfazed by anything.
Interested in Ivanka Trump?
"Certainly, I think it's hypocritical", he said. During this campaign, Ivanka acted as a surrogate for her father.
