Earlier this month, Target revealed some of its Black Friday promotions, including roving associates with portable checkout scanners who can help customers skip long checkout lines.

Walmart released its Black Friday advertisement, featuring deals on televisions, laptops, surveillance cameras, cookware and clothing.

The official Walmart Black Friday ad scan is here, and it points to excellent tech that will go on sale, with most "rollback prices" happening on Wednesday, November 21 at 10pm ET.

The frenzy shows the rules are changing as retailers prepare to battle for what could be the strongest holiday period in years - fuelled by robust consumer confidence and low unemployment. Meanwhile, the in-store event will begin at 6 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving Day.

Ride-Ons - A variety of Ride-Ons for kids will be available for $98 during Black Friday.

In the Black Friday party event Walmart will be giving away four million cups of complimentary coffee courtesy of Keurig and almost two million free Christmas cookies from the Walmart Bakery, to help get shoppers into the holiday spirit.
