Trump slams 'stupid question' from female reporter, calls April Ryan a 'loser'

US President Donald Trump points to journalist Jim Acosta from CNN during a post-election press conference in the East Room of the White House in Washington DC

White House suspends CNN's Jim Acosta

President Donald Trump gets into an exchange with CNN reporter Jim Acosta during a news conference a day after the midterm elections in the East Room of the White House in Washington, on November 7, 2018. During the George W. Bush presidency, Trude Feldman, who worked for various news outlets, was suspended for 90 days after security cameras recorded her looking through a press aide's desk late one night. "That's not doctoring", Trump later said. "They gave a close-up view". This, Shapiro says, enables the manipulated video to run the same length as the original. "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video", Sanders tweeted.

Trump told Ryan, of American Urban Radio Networks, repeatedly to sit down when she attempted to ask Trump about accusations of voter suppression.

Phillip asked Trump whether he wanted Matt Whitaker, the newly-appointed acting attorney general, to rein in Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"Secretary Sanders lied", CNN said in a statement, saying the press pass suspension was "done in retaliation for challenging questions". "In fact, she asked the most pertinent question of the day", CNN said.

During the news conference, Trump also turned on reporter Yamiche Alcindor of PBS' "NewsHour".

CNN's Dana Bash tweeted this reaction: "Harvard University will be surprised to hear POTUS call one of their graduates - my friend and colleague Abby Phillip - stupid". Just as ravenously, Trump supporters want the president to take the media to the mat.

"I watch her get up", he said Friday. "She doesn't know what the hell she's doing", Trump said of Ryan on Friday. He commented on the Acosta event: "Not only didn't he accost her-he said 'pardon me, ma'am.' But that's where the Hucka-B.S. machine comes in".

Backstreet Boys announce concert in Indianapolis
The DNA world tour , BSB's largest in 18 years, will feature a live band as opposed to dancers and will run for 2 hours. Backstreet Boys are announcing a new arena concert tour for their new album DNA , which is set for release in January.

"She's very nasty, and she shouldn't be", he added.

Ryan became a CNN contributor previous year.

His exchanges with CNN's Acosta and NBC News' Peter Alexander turned bitterly personal, unusual even for a forum where the nature of their jobs often put presidents and the press at odds.

See what I did there? As the Society of Professional Journalists warns, "injecting oneself into the story or creating news events for coverage is not objective reporting, and it ultimately calls into question the ability of a journalist to be independent, which can damage credibility".

Sanders noted that Trump took 68 questions from 35 different reporters over the lengthy press conference that lasted 90 minutes-the first one he's held since the midterm elections.

The White House Correspondents' Association is denouncing the decision to bar Acosta, calling it unacceptable and disproportionate to the purported offence.

"It could be others also", he said. "As a result of today's incident, the White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice".
