The destruction of the ranch was confirmed by the Twitter account for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area on Twitter. "We do not have any details or photos, but it is our understanding that the structures have burned", the park service explained.

As Evan Rachel Wood explained on Twitter, "Westworld" uses the set to shoot scenes for Escalante. "This area is an active part of the incident and we can not access it", the tweet read. The popular HBO series also filmed at a church that was built on the ranch.

Los Angeles-area photojournalist and video journalist for KCBS 2 shared images of the Woolsey fire's impact on the filming location, showing several structures completely destroyed.

When not in use for filming, visitors could stroll through Western Town while hiking or ride through on horseback.

UPDATE: HBO has issued a statement: "Paramount Ranch was one of the locations used during seasons one and two of Westworld, in addition to the primary location at Melody Ranch in Santa Clarita". The property, now part of the National Park Service, was the set for a number of Hollywood productions, including The Lake House and Caught in the Draft, as well as TV shows such as Weeds, The Mentalist, and Quickdraw.

The blaze started Thursday night and by Friday had pushed toward Malibu and the Pacific Ocean, prompting evacuations in Malibu, Calabasas, Aguora Hills and other nearby areas.

Approximately 75,000 homes were under evacuation orders in Ventura and Los Angeles counties, officials said in a Friday morning news release.
