Final Fantasy XV DLC Canned And Director Hajime Tabata Resigns

Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades Launches This December

3 'Final Fantasy XV' DLC cancelled as director leaves company

Now the only one that will be released is Episode Ardyn, planned to debut in March 2019, as per PCGamesN. As explained by global brand director Akio Ofuji in the video above, only the Episode Ardyn of the "Dawn of the Future" series will launch, in 2019.

In addition to the cancellations, it was also announced that Hajime Tabata, the man who took over from Tetsuya Nomura as director of the game in 2013, has left Square Enix.

Tabata has wished his former colleagues at Square and Luminous all the best, and says he's now looking forward to his next challenge.

This could be linked to the reported $33m loss suffered by Square Enix announced during their fiscal report this week, where it was revealed that it is restructuring Luminous Productions to focus on AAA titles only.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - Ask the cast ANYTHING!
Warner Bros.' Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has debuted on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes with a 56% "rotten". Based off of the fifth book, The Order of the Phoenix , fans have worked out that Professor McGonagall was born in 1935.

Final Fantasy XV was in production for almost a decade. That is with the exception of Episode Ardyn, which will still release next year as a final send-off for the game. Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Comrades will be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 12th December in North America and then 13th December in Europe and Japan.

Following on from Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix gave Hajime Tabata his own studio known as "Luminous Productions", which was set to develop new Triple A games and other media content. "The desire is to deliver this new AAA experience to everyone even a day [sic] sooner, and due to this directional change, the company made a decision to focus our resources on the development of this AAA title". "For that reason, I have chose to leave my current position and start my own business in order to achieve my goal". Comrades will include 10 new bosses, costumes, and weapons.

"Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades" will release on December 12 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
