That's not much detail for a hugely important game mode set to launch in about three weeks, but the structure sounds similar to that of GTA Online, which immediately became a fan favorite and has helped drive sales over the years. Taking a leaf out of the amazingly successful GTA Online, Rockstar plans to keep Red Dead's multiplayer mode constantly updated with fresh content, challenges and in-game events. "Take-Two delivered better-than-expected operating results, including growth in net bookings, during the fiscal second quarter", Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said.
If you've already made your way through Red Dead Redemption 2's substantial narrative, then the good news is that there's more content coming.
Although not a part of this quarterly report, Take-Two did provide some figures for Red Dead Redemption, stating that the game shipped over 17 million units, and while shipped does not mean sold, earlier reports of $725 million in sales during its opening weekend shows that the game is a big hit for the publisher. It's going to be insane at launch with many players looking to get right into beta.
Google outlines steps to tackle workplace harassment
Google will provide more details about sexual misconduct cases in internal reports available to all employees. And next year, all employees will be required to complete sexual harassment training annually.
Gamers will be chomping at the bit to learn more about the online version of the game, which will be free to access for anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption 2 (and an Xbox One or a PlayStation 4).
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the hottest ticket in town right now, having broken records everywhere except in a diminishing retail sector.
"As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at launch", says Rockster.
