Michelle Obama called out the fact that Trump's comments towards her husband Barack could have caused a "wingnut" or "kook" to kill her family. "I'll never forgive him [Barack Obama] for what he did to our military", he said.

"I felt like I failed because I didn't know how common miscarriages were, because we don't talk about them", the former first lady said in an interview broadcast on Friday on ABC's Good Morning America breakfast show.

During the 2012 USA presidential election, Trump floated the racist conspiracy theory that President Barack Obama was not a United States citizen, and touted the demonstrably false claim that Obama's birth certificate was not real.

The former first lady also denounces Trump's "birther" campaign questioning her husband's citizenship, calling it bigoted and unsafe. "And for this I'd never forgive him", she wrote in her book, according to the Washington Post.

In the book, which will be released on November 13, Obama reveals that she assumed Trump was "grandstanding" when he announced his presidential run in 2015.

She also revealed how she underwent IVF in order to give birth to Malia, now 20 years old, and Sasha, now 17.

The former first lady, known for her advocacy for women and girls around the world, chose to get candid about her miscarriage and her journey to motherhood in Becoming to help other women.

She told the television station: "We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we're broken". "I think it's the worst thing that we do to each other as women, not share the truth about our bodies and how they work".

The president also blasted a reporter who asked whether his newly-appointed Attorney Genera Matthew Whitaker would get involved in special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. His behavior during the debates against his rival candidate Hillary Clinton also met with her disdain.

She remembers how her body "buzzed with fury" after seeing the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape, in which Trump brags about sexually assaulting women.

Widely praised as a gifted orator and communicator, Obama has long said she has no interest in running for office, although she held a few campaign-style rallies before the midterms urging people to register to vote. She says Trump followed Clinton around the stage, stood too close, and tried to diminish her presence.
