If this year's rumor turns out to be true, Meghan's mom will take part in some of the royal family's most festive holiday traditions, including a black tie dinner and full English breakfast.

Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, memorably broke protocol a year ago by inviting Meghan as the first fiancée to attend Christmas with the royal family before her wedding to Harry in May.

Not that it should come as a surprise really, given how well Doria seems to get on with the other royals - if you remember she was a hit with Charles at the wedding of Meghan to Prince Harry, and she also went along when Meghan launched her first charity initiative, the cookbook for the victims of the Grenfell Disaster.

The move is somewhat unprecedented, as a member outside of the Royal family has not been invited to stay at the Norfolk estate during the Christmas period before. Even sweeter than this news?

Kate Middleton's mother Carol Middleton reportedly felt snubbed. Kate and William have alternated holidays, spending Christmas at Sandringham and at her family's home in Bucklebury. The palace announced Meghan was pregnant on the first day of the couple's visit to Australia, but the duchess didn't let the hectic schedule phase her, and only missed two official engagements during the 16-day tour.
