A 10-year-old girl has been charged to court for allegedly murdering a six-month-old baby at a United States daycare centre. However, Wisconsin law requires that first-degree homicide charges initially be brought in adult court if the accused is age 10 or older.
"She stated she was holding the child and that's when she dropped [him]", Newell said. "She proceeded to stomp on the six-month-old's head".
According to the Star Tribune, the alleged killer buried her head in her mom's arms while sobbing, moaning and crying through Monday's hearing.
The Chippewa County sheriff says the girl was taken into custody after they got a call about a six-month-old boy bleeding from the head at a day care in the town of Wheaton.

The infant was pronounced dead at a hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
A doctor who examined the youngster said his injuries had been deliberately inflicted, with Chippewa County Sheriff's Office quickly focusing its investigation on the 10 year-old girl.
