The UFC lightweight champion took to to Instagram on Tuesday to poke fun at UFC president Dana White over what repercussions White would have faced had he stripped Nurmagomedov of his belt after Saturday's post-fight brawl. According to White, several members of Nurmagomedov's team were arrested but McGregor has declined to press charges.
Nurmagomedov's fight purse has been withheld while the NSAC investigates.
"If Nevada puts a suspension on him everyone will put a suspension on him".
"Defending the value of one's country, family, and religion is a must for every fighter".
"He'll sit out, take some time off and that's it".
Khabib dominated from start to finish against McGregor and finished the fight with a rear naked choke after a long period of grappling that forced McGregor to tap.
"The pay-per-view numbers are starting to roll in, so I'm in a much better mood than I was on Saturday", White said to TMZ Sports.
