Sources told TMZ a family member took Gomez to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, and though she was released a few days later, she was readmitted late last week because her low blood cell count hadn't changed and it had sent Gomez into a downward emotional spiral.

Reports confirm that the 26-year-old suffered a recent "emotional breakdown" after two hospitalisations in relation to her 2017 kidney transplant and her ongoing battle with Lupus.

The final Instagram she shared before allegedly entering treatment twice in the last month - once at the end of September and once in the first week of October - was posted on Sept. 23, and featured a smiling Gomez with a heartbreaking caption. Not being able to leave, Selena reportedly "freaked out" and was trying to rip IV's out of her arm. She's gone through it before, so it's not a completely new experience for the actor and singer. Several sources called the episode "an emotional breakdown".

The brunette beauty is believed to now be at a psychiatric facility on the East Coast and is receiving dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), which she has undergone before and which treats a variety of mental health disorders.

Global stocks tumble after Trump 'crazy' Fed comment
Netflix was down more than 8 percent, Amazon was off 6 percent and Apple and Google were both down more than 4.5 percent. Despite Wednesday's sell-off, the S&P 500 would still need to more than double its losses.

"Mood lol (I was looking at myself in the mirror - like an idiot!)" she wrote under the photo, later editing it to add, "Update: taking a social media break".

Gomez first sought treatment at Arizona's Dawn of the Meadows facility in early 2014. Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings.

Soon after she was admitted she insisted on leaving, but doctors said she couldn't. Gomez didn't attend the American Music Awards last night and the site notes that her team has been virtually silent recently.
