With Princess Eugenieand Jack Brooksbank's highly awaited nuptials scheduled for Friday, the countdown is officially on for one of Britain's biggest events of the year.
Although the Duke and Duchess of York tried to persuade her otherwise, Camilla was adamant that she would not break her promise to the schoolchildren that she would attend their harvest festival.
Royal reporter Victoria Arbiter assures there's no bad blood between Eugenie and her aunt after the decision.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "When this date was proposed, she said that regrettably, she couldn't come".
"She's also been banned from making a speech, as much as Eugenie would have liked her to, out of fear she may say something untoward or make subtle digs at the family", A palace aide told the publication. The official engagement is not listed on the royal family website, but Camilla has reportedly already made up her mind. "Camilla didn't want to let anyone down".
Suspect in murder of Bulgarian journalist Viktoria Marinova freed
At the Ruse vigil, telecoms technician Venelin Rumenov, 27, told AFP: "I don't think that she had been threatened or anything". In what would be her final show to air, Marinova addressed the constraints of practicing journalism in her country.
Supporting Eugenie will be her elder sister, Princess Beatrice, who has been chosen to be her Maid of Honour.
"It will incorporate the rich colours of autumn in its design and will be covered with detailed sugar work including ivy".
