Ruby Rose Suits Up As Kate Kane In First Official Batwoman Photo

First Image of Ruby Rose as Batwoman Reveals a New Caped Crusader

Just to stoke the hype fire, following the reveal of Ruby Rose in her Batwoman costume, Arrow star Stephen Amell revealed to his followers online how the Elseworlds event will begin.

The costume was designed by legendary award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, who also designed the signature costumes for Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.

Assuming Batwoman's inclusion in the Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash crossover goes off without a hitch, you might want to schedule some time into your TV schedule next year for a Batwoman series, since one is now in the works at The CW. Though she will be introduced in the crossover event, Rose will then transition into her own Batwoman series, which is now in development for the 2019-20 television season at The CW.

There is a new caped crusader on the scene, and that would be The CW's Batwoman.

This first look at Batwoman comes as the crossover begins shooting in Vancouver BC.

This year's Arrowverse crossover is already causing a ton of excitement amongst DC fans. Decades later, she was rebooted as Kate Kane, an openly lesbian superhero.

All these Metropolis and Gotham personalities showing up, along with that title "Elseworlds" makes us think that, unlike previous crossover events which took place mainly on "Earth 1" where most of the Arrowverse denizens we know and love reside, this one might take the show, or shows, on the road over to Supergirl's Earth 38.

Whatever world we're in, it's very exciting to get a look at Batwoman as she'll appear onscreen.

Set against a dark and gritty city backdrop - with the Bat-Signal shining bright in the night sky no less - Rose stuns in this first look photo at the iconic superhero.
