Kawhi Leonard of Toronto Raptors focused on this season, not future

Kawhi Leonard says he’s focussed on leading Raptors to a championship

All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard, introduced by the Toronto Raptors on Monday, said he wants to concentrate on this season, not his future.

"I want to play here", said Leonard.

Leonard's tenure in Toronto will be one of the most-followed National Basketball Association storylines this season. I want to do great things ... focus on this year.

"Obviously I love the game of basketball".

"If you look at the future, you are going to trip on the present".

"I look at it as a day to day process", Leonard said.

'Absolutely not fake': Rare, venomous, two-headed snake found slithering in backyard
Although the snake's left head is more dominant, its anatomy would indicate the right head would be better suited for eating. A woman in Virginia found an extremely rare two-headed copperhead snake slithering around her neighbor's flowerbed.

Leonard was also asked about his long-term goals as he's a few months from free agency.

"The narrative of not wanting to come to this city is gone, believe in yourselves", Ujiri said, noting afterward that Leonard remarked to him about how handsome Toronto is.

He only appeared in nine games last season due to injury, but averaged a career-high 25.5 points per game in the previous season, in addition to 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

The two-time Defensive Player of the Year was traded by the San Antonio Spurs this summer, and says he's entirely focused on making the most of his current situation.

"He's a fun guy (when) you get to know him", Green said. "I mean there's more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself". "I always ride or die for my teammates", he said, adding that his relationship with DeRozan is "bigger than basketball".
