Given that the iPhone XR shares numerous same specs as the iPhone XS - most importantly, that new A12 Bionic processor that puts Android phones to shame - and the screen is marginally bigger, it's widely predicted to be a hit.

The entry-level smartphone comes in capacities of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, and is priced at Dh3,179, Dh3,389 and Dh3,809, respectively.

Speaking about the launch of the new device, Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said: "iPhone XR helps us reach even more people with the latest iPhone innovations".

The smartphones also come with dual-SIM capabilities, with the second slot using an eSIM - although this will not be available in the UAE for now.

The telcos said that customers can get a 5% cash back benefit on EMI transactions for 12 and 24 months tenure and 5X reward points on non-EMI transactions via Citibank and Axis Bank credit cards. Similarly, Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders can avail an additional discount of five percent on the purchase. As tradition has followed, Apple fans in Singapore queued up outside Apple stores overnight in sheer anticipation of buying the new iPhone XS or XS Max.

FBI Does Not Want to Investigate the Kavanaugh Accusations
A spokesman for Grassley did not immediately say whether Judge was among the other witnesses being contacted. Kavanaugh was spotted at the White House on Thursday, and allies said he is eager to address the accusation.

Queues were also seen at its other outlets in the UAE, in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall. Flipkart happens to be the first one to put up a listing though.

Apple iPhone XS is available in India in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants with price starting at Rs 99,900.

Apple is also using the Neural Engine inside the A12 chip to boost the capabilities of their Image Signal Processor (ISP), which delivers even more attractive photos without the need for post-editing. Apple still claims the new phone to offer a better battery performance thanks to the A12 Bionic chipset. It has a quad-core GPU, which is 50 percent faster as touted by the company.

Selfies also get this threatment with Portrait mode on the front-facing TrueDepth camera. In India, Jio and Airtel have been confirmed to support eSIM.
