On Thursday evening, September 6, a Dallas police officer was going home after her shift, when she walked into the wrong apartment and shot the man inside.

The victim was treated on scene and taken to hospital, where he later died. He's also the first on-duty Texas officer since 1973 to be "convicted of killing someone in a shooting", the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
