Nokia 6.1 Plus India launch event is just minutes away from starting, giving fans a reason to cheer as they get the first Nokia phone with a notch. Ahead of the launch, Nokia licensee HMD Global even slashed the price of the Nokia 6.1.

In its post on Twitter, Nokia wrote - "We are thrilled to bring you the Nokia smartphones event for one of the most awaited phones on Tuesday 21st August". HMD Global has been growing steadily in the global markets, and with the new Plus models, it aims to garner market share in the Indian market dominated by sales in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment. But HMD Global made a decision to launch the phone in the rest of the world as Nokia 6.1 Plus.

The specifications of the Nokia 6.1 Plus are the same as that of the Nokia X6. The company has already made Nokia 6.1 Plus support page live in India before. Currently, there are two variants of the handset featuring 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage.

Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge FHD+ (2880 x 1080) display. Of course, Nokia 6.1 Plus price in India remains a mystery that will be unravelled by the company's top brass at the event, which is scheduled to start at 12:10pm.
