Shanann Watts, and her daughters Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, were reported missing before their bodies were found last week.
The first three charges of murder in the first degree accuse Watts of killing his wife, who was 15 weeks pregnant, and his daughters "after deliberation".
The defendant is scheduled to hear the charges in court Tuesday morning.
Court documents obtained by FOX31 and Channel 2 on Monday said that Watts' attorneys will ask for a bond modification hearing as well as a preliminary hearing.
Chris Watts, 33, was arrested in connection with their deaths but has not been formally charged.
Watts denied he was having an affair in police interviews but an investigation later uncovered he was in a relationship with a co-worker.
Watts said in an interview with TV station Denver 7 on Tuesday that he was torn up inside about his family going missing and pleaded for their return.
"We would like to thank everyone, the Frederick Police Department and all the agencies involved in finding my daughter, granddaughters and (unborn) grandson Niko", said Frank Rzucek, Shanann Watts' father. As their father, Watts fits Colorado's definition of the latter.
Watts told police that shortly after, he saw his wife strangling their youngest daughter and their older daughter sprawled on her bed and blue via a baby monitor.
"She went inside, turned around and waved at me and shut the door", Atkinson said.
Reasons Why Manchester United Lost To Brighton
Lindelof struggled through his first season in England but started this campaign with a strong performance against Leicester City. He was too slow to react during set-pieces and his cavalier attitude led to Brighton's third goal from the penalty spot.
Atkinson is the friend who dropped Shanann off at the Watts home around 2 a.m. on August 13, and had plans to meet back up with her later that day.
"Chris said he went into a rage and ultimately strangled Shannan to death", James wrote.
The friend discovered that Shanann Watts' auto was parked in the garage and could not get past a latch on the front door, so she called Chris Watts and asked him to come home, fearing Shanann had suffered some kind of medical issue, according to the affidavit.
Watts then admitted to loading their bodies into the back of his ute before driving them to an oil work site he used to be employed at.
A judge on Friday denied a request by Merson to require the coroner to collect DNA from the necks of the children. He said he walked downstairs for a moment, then returned to talk to Shanann again, according to the affidavit. Court documents filed by Merson said the girls had been submerged in crude oil for four days.
Mr Watts told police "it was a civil conversation and they were not arguing but were emotional".
A June 2015 bankruptcy filing showed that the family was dealing with financial strain, including tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt, student loans and medical bills totaling $70,000 in unsecured claims along with a sizable mortgage.
"He was just sitting there waiting for something to happen; it just didn't seem right to me". That count alleges that in killing Shanann Watts he ended her pregnancy.
A court filing by prosecutors says Shanann Watts' body was "recovered from a shallow grave near an oil tank", and that "law enforcement recovered the bodies of defendant's two daughters from inside oil tanks located near the grave of their mother".
