'Truth isn't truth': Bizarre Giuliani quote sends Twitter into frenzy

Meet the Press host Chuck Todd pushed back, and this culminated in the former NYC Mayor saying, "Truth isn't truth".

"This is going to be a bad meme", he said.

Giuliani told NBC's Meet the Press that he was not going to let Trump be rushed into giving evidence before the inquiry because he might be "trapped into perjury".

Todd responded, "Truth is truth". The president's lawyers also say that they will fight any attempt by Mueller to issue a subpoena to Trump. "So tell me what the truth is, you're such a genius".

This was too much for Todd, who cradled his forehead in his hands over what he just heard and once again interrupted Giuliani's spiel.

"If this is their case for collusion, good luck Mueller", Giuliani said of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading a probe into Russian interference in the US election.

"The meeting was originally for the objective of getting information about, about Clinton", Giuliani said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press". This time around, it was yet another batshit appearance from Rudy Giuliani, the guy who used to be a New York City mayor that at least some people respected and who has now completed his transformation into some kind of blathering goblin henchman within Trump's circles.

Stokes could be played if he says he is available: Hussain
England head coach Trevor Bayliss will decide over the next two days whether Ben Stokes is ready to make his Test return. But in its statement, the European Central Bank confirmed the CDC will soon resume its deliberations.

The exchange drew condemnation on Twitter-but Inside Higher Ed columnist John Warner warned that the Trump legal team will likely see no consequences for changing their long-held narrative and essentially admitting to attempted collusion, and issued a reminder that voters likely have a greater capacity to end the Trump presidency than Mueller's probe.

"Can't you speed up Mueller's report and can't you have more credibility about getting Mueller's report if you get the president to sit down with him?"

Mr McGahn's attorney William Burck added in a statement: "President Trump, through counsel, declined to assert any privilege over Mr McGahn's testimony, so Mr McGahn answered the special counsel team's questions fulsomely and honestly, as any person interviewed by federal investigators must".

"We get very nervous that they're trying to trap him into perjury, which is not supposed to be what they're doing", he said on Sunday Morning Futures.

Mr Trump on Sunday continued to rail against the Mueller investigation, which he has labelled a "witch hunt". "Rigged Witch Hunt!" he later wrote.

Giuliani's statements indicated that the Trump team is now leaning on their claims that advisers Donald Trump, Jr. and Jared Kushner, former campaign manager Paul Manafort, and other officials who met with Kremlin-linked lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, did not know the meeting had been scheduled on behalf of the Russian government. "If someone said, I have information about your opponent, you would take that meeting".
