Los Angeles completely overhauled its roster this summer after LeBron James announced he was leaving the Cavaliers and signing a four-year, $154 million contract with the team in early July. While building a team to be a title contender takes time, Johnson has done a very nice job so far in the NBA Draft and in free agency. By way of comparison, the Charles Barkley led Phoenix Suns team during the 1992-1993 season shot less than a third of that, on the way to the best record in the league. That roster will also include an intriguing blend of other youngsters such as Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram as well as wily, playoff-tested veterans like Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson.

Murals of LeBron went up around Los Angeles in the aftermath of his signing, only to be destroyed over and over again as many believed it was Kobe Bryant fans behind it all.

"Whenever a new guy comes in, you can get them up to date faster, so it helps a lot".

Both Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are already gaining the recognition they deserve after their impressive campaigns last season. "And they're gonna fall in love with him too". James is 3-6 in the NBA Finals with three Finals MVP awards.

Griffin noted that for as good as James is, his teams have still hit rough patches at times.

Since the last contact with the rover, Opportunity has likely experienced a low-power fault and perhaps, a mission-clock fault. Because Opportunity runs on solar energy, scientists had to suspend science activities to preserve the rover's batteries.

Will the lakers play defense or will they be bad at it?

Los Angeles has the potential to make a deep run because you don't underestimate James.

"Obviously they're terrific players and very skilled, but it's the consistency of the team as well", he said.

Kevin Love was asked if he saw LeBron James' move to the Lakers coming before it happened in an interview with ESPN. Last year, the Lakers showed potential on the defensive end. Next year is going to be fun to watch because we will get to see James play the better teams in the National Basketball Association more often.
