Mega Evolutions and some Team Rocket fan favorites are making their way to "Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!" and "Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!", Nintendo revealed on Thursday. We already knew that Alolan forms of Gen 1 Pokémon will appear in Let's Go, and now thanks to a new trailer and press release, we know that there will also be Mega Evolutions for some Gen 1 creatures too. Speaking of, the city's gym leader, LT. Surge, seems to be easily handling his role, displaying the same amount of bravado and confidence in his wicked Raichu and overly complicated trash-puzzle. The villainous duo-along with Meowth-will have a recurring role in the Let's Go games, confronting players at various points throughout the adventure. This could indicate that Mega Evolution will be about as powerful as it's been in the past. In addition to a key for the right Pokemon, Mega Stone is also required.
The scans of the Japanese gaming magazine's pages show us the Pokemon figures are in their Mega Evolutions stage while being in a battle.

Mega Charizard X and Y, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Venusaur are going to be available in-game to totally wreck your opponents, which should add an interesting new dimension to the familiar Pokémon games we grew up with. For now, it isn't clear if there will be any new mega forms introduced in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee! or not.
