Everton have reportedly completed the deal to sign Yerry Mina from Barcelona pending a medical at Finch Farm tomorrow

Everton are conducting the final round of talks as they look to rush through deals for Barcelona's Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes before the 5pm Premier League deadline.

While Bernard was finalising his transfer at Everton's Finch Farm training ground a club delegation led by the director of football, Marcel Brands, concluded deals for Mina and Gomes in Barcelona.

Everton have signed André Gomes on loan from Barcelona.

Gomes has always been a fringe player at Barcelona, despite signing for a fee of £31m plus €20m in add-ons in 2016, with only 46 appearances made in La Liga since joining from Valencia.

Mina has been linked with several clubs this summer, including Manchester United, but his arrival will bolster the Everton back-line.

The defender will leave Camp Nou despite only joining in January, but the Catalan side have included a buy-back option in the deal.

West Nile Virus sweeps America: Cases reported from coast to coast
New Jersey health officials report that the state has seen its first case of West Nile virus in a human this year. Officials say positive mosquito batches have been found in traps located in every community the district serves.

"The English club will pay FC Barcelona 2.25 million euros for the season long loan and will also pay the player's wages".

Bernard, a 25-year-old capped 14 times by Brazil, was a free agent after his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk expired.

"I spoke to Lucas and he told me all about the Club, which also made me keen to come here".

Moments later they also confirmed that Portugal global Gomes would join the Premier League side on loan.

"I have spoken a lot to the coach and I know his passion for Everton and determination to be successful".

Everton have a good squad, and with a new manager in Marco Silva now in charge of the Toffees, the Goodison Park faithful should be excited about the season ahead.
