Abby Huntsman to depart Fox for ABC's 'The View'

EXCLUSIVE: Abby Huntsman Leaving Fox News for The View

She recently slammed the president after his meeting with Putin last month, in which Trump seemed to side with Russian Federation on US election interference.

A source familiar with the situation told Deadline Huntsman is expected to land at The View, though no deal is done.

Abby would be replacing Sara Haines, who is departing to join ABC's "Good Morning America."

The View will welcome Fox News Channel alum Abby Huntsman as its new co-host for season 22.

Huntsman is the daughter of Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman and has hosted "Fox & Friends Weekend" since 2016. She is the daughter of former Utah Republican Governor Jon Huntsman Jr., who served as ambassador to China under former President Barack Obama, and is now President Donald Trump's ambassador to Russian Federation as per the Washington Times. She joined Fox News as a reporter in 2015. She disliked it so much she considered finding a new dream career path that wasn't in television according to Elle.

If she winds up on the ABC daytime show, she'll be joining Meghan McCain as a conservative voice.

The View had two vacant panelist chairs; Haines' announcement followed by four days the news that three-year co-host Paula Faris is leaving the show, and her weekend GMA duties, for a new assignment that includes contributing to Good Morning America and a podcast on faith. "I'm honored to go down with this brand sitting behind me every day".
