Sri Lanka vs South Africa: Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis ruled out of rest of tour after injuring shoulder in third ODI

Quinton de Kock's "good cricket brain" is the reason why he has been handed the captaincy of the Proteas for the last two ODIs, says coach Ottis Gibson.

De Kock was a surprise choice on Tuesday ahead of the more experienced JP Duminy, who will take charge for the lone T20 worldwide at the end of the tour.

Kandy: South Africa captain Faf du Plessis will miss the remainder of his side's limited overs tour to Sri Lanka after injuring his shoulder in Sunday's 78-run victory that clinched the one-day global series. "I want to carry on where Faf has left off and to continue with his legacy".

This will be the first time De Kock will lead South Africa since he led the South African under 19 team in 2012, while Duminy is familiar will leading the T20 side when he stood in for Du Plessis in the three-match series against India earlier this year. "Everybody is doing something right at the moment".

Aaron Ramsey representatives deny Arsenal demands
Redknapp feels, Ramsey belongs at Arsenal and went on to suggest that he could be their Frank Lampard in the coming years. Sarri, who has missed out on several Italian targets, will turn to Ramsey, who is yet to sign a new deal at Arsenal .

"He is someone who understands the game, he is constantly helping the captain on the field".

Du Plessis fell awkwardly while attempting a catch during the third One-Day International (ODI) at Pallekele on Sunday, and was unable to field for the rest of the match.

"Aiden captained against India, and he is not now in the team, he has had some struggles on this Sri Lanka tour so far. He is a fine player and we are confident he will find form and there will be other opportunities for us to continue to grow that side of his leadership".

The selectors will name the stand-in captain for the remainder of the ODI series and one-off T20I on Tuesday.
