Samsung's Galaxy Note 9: up to 1TB storage, all-day battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to get an unveil at the company's Unpacked event on August 9, but it's the new S Pen that could steal the show. According to data gleaned from the Fortnite Android APK in possession of serial Fortnite Android leaker XDA, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is getting the game as well at launch.

Include the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in that list. Apparently the Fortnite Mobile APK for Android has checks in place for mobile GPU, manufacturer, and model. The new leak suggests that the S-Pen will have a battery which can be charged for 30 minutes of use after only 40 seconds in its storage silo. Scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 9, the company is expected to take the wraps off its stylus-wielding, high-end Note 9 phone at a NY presser. This also prevents other Samsung devices from running the game, and could confirm reports that Fortnite will offer new control options for devices with S Pen functionality.

This means that once those 30 days are up for the Galaxy Note 9, the title will be exclusively available for other Samsung devices like the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note 8 for up to 90 days. Samsung Pay and wireless charging are also supported, it says. The alleged pictures of the retail box confirmed that most likely the Galaxy Note 9 is going to be similar as Galaxy S9+. Lastly, the device will come with IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and will support facial recognition via iris scanner in addition to a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
