Fetus discovered on plane from Charlotte to NY

Staff made the grim discovery on an American Airlines jet at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Tuesday morning.

The fetus was found hours after Flight 1942 arrived Monday in New York City night from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Fetus was discovered by a cleaning crew Tuesday morning.

Fetus was thought to be 5 months along.

Part of that cooperation is turning over video recordings from the plane to determine who might have been in the restroom before passengers left Monday night, the airline source told the Observer. It was the Airbus A321's only flight of the day.

The flight is scheduled to depart from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport again Tuesday evening, August 7 en route to LaGuardia.
